A woman named Judith Makokha recently shared her side of a long‑standing personal story involving Kenyan musician Kevin Bahati. Judith has publicly claimed to be Bahati’s biological mother, saying she once met his father back in 1993 while seeking employment and briefly stayed in a relationship with him. She says the man wanted marriage, so she accepted, but her parents opposed the union. This tension, according to her account, led to them separating after about seven months, and she has not been in contact with him since.
Judith became a topic of national conversation after she went viral in 2025 claiming she had abandoned her son at an orphanage due to financial hardship and now wants to reunite with him. Bahati, who grew up believing his mother had died more than 25 years ago and even attended her burial, was initially sceptical but agreed to meet her. Out of compassion, he bought her groceries and agreed to a DNA test to find out the truth once and for all, with results expected in about 14 days.
During public discussions, Judith has stated she does not know the whereabouts of Bahati’s father today and that they parted ways without further contact. Her story has drawn mixed reactions online, with some people expressing hope that she really is Bahati’s mother and others remaining cautious about the claims.
