As other Kenyans are at home for the Muslim holiday, Cabinet Secretary for Interior Kithure Kindiki and Cabinet Secretary for Roads were at work as usual. The two leaders held a key meeting when Kindiki went to pay Murkomen a visit at his office.
“Considering a whole- of-government approach to public service, I held a meeting with my brother the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Interior and Coordination of National Government Hon.Prof. Kithure Kindiki to discuss the best ways of ensuring peace and stability in the banditry prone counties by providing access roads to our security agencies carrying out operations.” Murkomen wrote.
According to the details shared by Murkomen, they agreed on ways of ensuring that road contractors are facilitated to complete critical road projects,especially in the North Eastern part of the country, that have stalled as a result of acts lawlessness.
Murkomen revealed that in the the coming days, him and Kindiki shall hold joint meetings in the affected areas to ensure that they receive community support in these endeavors.
