Popular musician Karol Muthoni Mbuthia alias Katru has been going through a difficult time since her husband Peter Mwangi alias Miracle Baby was admitted in hospital with a stomach infection.
Speaking in an interview on Tuko, Karol revealed that the problem started as a stomach ache and his belly was swollen. When he was taken to the hospital the doctors discovered that there was an obstruction in his intestines that had blocked food from passing.
When he was taken to theatre for an emergency surgery the surgeon found that his intestines had bursted. Part of it had to be removed because it had been damaged by infection.
Karol said, “On Wednesday asubuhi alianza kuongea vitu hazieleweki akisema anaona amefika mwisho. Nikashangaa mbona anaongea hivyo. Surgeon aliitwa akapelekwa theatre urgently. Vile alitoka surgery ndo tukaambiwa intestines ziliburst food yenye alikuwa amekula hiyo time yote ikamwagika kwa tumbo, ilikuwa inakaa sewage. Kuna parts za intestines zilitolewa akaoshwa. (He started saying unusual things on Wednesday morning, stating he had reached his end. I was surprised to hear him say that. A surgeon was called then he was taken in for surgery immediately. When he came out of theatre we were told that his intestines had raptured and food scattered in his stomach, it looked like a sewage. Some parts of the intestines were removed because they had been burnt.)”
She went further to reveal that the rest of the intestines will remain outside his body till after two weeks. That it has not been an easy season for her because she has to be there for her husband all the time.
Another problem she is facing together with the family is the huge hospital bill. Their fans contributed a million shillings that was able to cover up to January 23 but the bill is still growing.
