Cornel Peter Msando, the brother of the late Christopher Msando, who served as the ICT manager at the Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission (IEBC), has tragically passed away.

His grief-stricken reaction was captured in a video when identifying his brother’s body at a Nairobi mortuary.

Mr. Peter succumbed to a brief illness at M.P. Shah Hospital in Nairobi on January 28, 2024, as detailed in an obituary published on February 2, 2024.

The family, grappling with the loss of Christopher in 2017, now faces the additional challenge of laying Cornel to rest.

In response to the financial burden imposed by these unforeseen circumstances, the deceased’s family has organized a fundraiser.

Scheduled for February 6 at the All Saints Cathedral, the fundraiser aims to alleviate the medical and funeral expenses associated with Mr. Peter’s passing.

Despite the family’s collective sorrow, justice remains elusive for Christopher, who was brutally murdered just days before the 2017 presidential elections.

The unresolved case has left the Msando family without closure, a sentiment echoed in the announcement that Cornel will be laid to rest on February 10, 2024, at his father’s farm in Siaya.

The double blow of losing both Christopher and now Cornel underscores the enduring pain faced by a family denied justice.

As they navigate these challenging times, the Msando family is confronted with the harsh reality of bidding farewell to another cherished member without the resolution they seek for Christopher’s untimely and mysterious death.
