There are 106,830 police officers in the country who are serving in the National Police Service as per the reports that we have with us this evening.
Out of this, 89,373 police officers are men while women are just 17,457 as per the reports that are available from the records in the service.
Kikuyus make up 18004 officers, 9752 Luhyas, 9809 Kambas make up the top three communities that are in the National Police Service.
Luo’s, Kipsigis and Nandis are 8773, 6004, 5507 police officers respectively in the National Police Service.
The communities with the least number of police officers in the country are Nubis, Indians and Makonde are 52, 3, 2 respectively in the National Police Service.
