Lucy Njeri, a nominated Member of the County Assembly (MCA) from Kirinyaga, is mourning the tragic loss of her daughter, Seth Nyakio Njeri. The 23-year-old was found dead under mysterious circumstances, leaving her mother heartbroken and seeking answers.

On October 12, the day Seth left their home in Kamakis estate to visit a friend in Biafra estate, Lucy recalls their last conversation vividly. Seth was in high spirits and assured her mother that she would keep in touch. Lucy said, “My daughter told me she would be visiting a friend but would let me know if she needed to stay the night. We were very close and shared everything.”

We had several conversations the following morning. However, when I tried to reach her later that day, I couldn’t get through,” Lucy shared, her voice filled with sorrow.
