Kikuyu gospel musician Ngaruiya Junior has released a video on his Facebook page that has sparked significant controversy. The video focuses on Martin Wa Janet, following a recent incident during the “Peace Caravan” event in Mt. Kenya, where former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was denied the opportunity to speak.
The Peace Caravan event which was intended to promote unity and dialogue within the community, took an unexpected turn when Gachagua arrived. The machines were abruptly turned off, leading to confusion and discontent among attendees. This incident raised eyebrows and led many to question the motives behind the event’s organization.
In his video, Ngaruiya Junior claims that Martin Wa Janet was allegedly paid seven million Kenyan Shillings by the current Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, to facilitate the Peace Caravan across various Mt. Kenya counties. The musician asserted that each caravan was to be sponsored with a similar amount, which would later see Kithure Kindiki making his presence felt on the ground.
Ngaruiya Junior did not hold back, stating that it was Martin Wa Janet himself who instructed that the machines be turned off when Gachagua arrived. This accusation has led to intense scrutiny of Wa Janet’s role in the event and raised questions about the integrity of the Peace Caravan initiative.
