Tuko news shared a video on their YouTube channel where a woman named Kelly narrated the challenges she has been through and how her mother have treated her since she was young. Kelly is a mother of two children and has been in Saudi Arabia for 1 and a half years. Kelly had signed a 2 year contract in Saudi but she couldn’t finish it after learning the condition of her children.
Kelly, her sister who has twins and their mother were in Saudi Arabia but they adviced their mother to come back in Kenya so that she can take care of the children because her contract had already ended. Their mother agreed and they were left working in Saudi and their children were under the care of the mother.
Kelly and her sister bought a plot for their mother and they started a business for her but after some time, their mother became an alcoholic. The relationship between them and their mother became worse and her sister took her twins to her mother in-law. Kelly had nowhere to take her children for their mother had already chased the children out.
Kelly said that her mother had already sworn to make her life miserable until she comes back home to take care of her children. Her mother would get drunk and couldn’t cook for the children and that saddened Kelly so much. Kelly talked to her children’s teacher to take them in until she could find a solution but her mother still went to the teacher’s place to cause conflicts.
Kelly said that her mother would insult her children and that angered her so much that she decided to change her child’s name who she had named after her mother. She said that till today she hates her mother to an extent she can’t go to see her. She added that even if her mother dies, she doesn’t want to see her for she is the cause of 90 percent of her problems.
Kelly started her plans to come back to Kenya after learning that her children’s condition had worsened. She said she haven’t visited her mom since she traveled back to Kenya.
