Esther Akoth, better known as Akothee, has today shared a photo of his dad revealing that he is feeling much better.
Akothee’s dad has been unwell and during her book and album launch, Akothee’s mum Monica Owino said he could not be able to attend the event.
While conveying her husband’s apology, Akothee’s mum said he was unwell.
“He is sick and I can’t carry him to come to Nairobi. Akothee wanted me to bring him but I couldn’t. He is not badly off he just cannot travel long distances.
Esther loves the dad, she thinks he is dying, but he is okay,” she said.
Akothee’s mum added;
“Esther has inherited music from the father, he is a proper musician. Thank you, my daughter. Don’t be emotional all the time, you are doing wonders and teaching women and men how to live in this world.”
In a recent photo on her Instagram, Akothee shared a photo of her dad reading her book saying she is happy to see him healthy.
The single mother of five added that her dad is proud of her.
“My dad reading my book. Daddy is proud of me, I am happy to see my dad healthy, I love you.”
Akothee’s mum also talked about the importance of a united family.
She thanked Akothee’s ex-husband Jared for always supporting her journey.
“When people see Akothee, they think she is not born in a family. She is born in a family of 23, many boys and a few girls,” she said.
“People must learn every day. When you have a problem and children are there, you must know how to nurture yourself. The father of my grandchildren must stay where the daughters are so that they can be protected.”
Akothee’s baby daddy Jared said he was there to support a gem.
“We have had our ups and downs but we have cemented those downs and now we are rising,” he said.
