Kenyans have joined in wishing controversial DJ Fatxo a happy birthday.
The Kikuyu benga musician Lawrence Njuguna returned to social media after several weeks of keeping a low profile.
The Mugithi star celebrated his 27th birthday on April 25, following a period of turmoil that had surrounded him since March.
Fatxo had been linked to the mysterious death of interior designer Geoffrey Mwathi, who passed away on February 22. The budding designer was found dead in DJ Fatxo’s house, making the musician one of the persons of interest in the investigation into his death.
On his birthday, the entertainer posted a message of gratitude and resilience, citing Psalms 37:5, which reads: “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.”
DJ Fatxo’s return to social media has been met with mixed reactions from fans, with some expressing relief at his reappearance, while others remain skeptical about his involvement in the tragic incident. Investigations into Mwathi’s death are ongoing, and DJ Fatxo’s role in the matter has yet to be determined.
