Constant rumors about a possible romance between Eddie Butita and Mamito was put to rest on the Churchill show My Journey edition on sunday November 14th.
During the show, Butita told Churchill that he appreciates Mamitto so much.
Churchill urged him to respond to rumors ‘haiya waambie vile wanataka kusikia juu ya Mammito’.
Butita willingly obliged saying ‘Mammito is very talented. I really appreciate her and what she does. She is the greatest piece of art’.
During the show Eddie Butita also told of his rise to fame coming fro humble beginnings of Korogocho to Kariobangi, to being on the Churchill show and having Larry Madowo invite him to guest appear on The Ttend and finally landing a sweet deal with Netflix.
‘I tried auditioning for Churchill several times, and finally I was given an opportunity to go on stage in 2013.It was to air in July, and so I went home to my hood where everyone was anxiously waiting to watch it, then Kenya Power wakacheza kama wao. For Larry Madoo it was a perfect coincidence. He had called Owago Onyiro for an interview and several of us took him. Larry told us to join him and talkign about things happening that week. Larry told me nimefanya show kali sana. He told me to go back the next Sunday. Then one time a guest didn’t show up and the producer told me to replace him. I did it for a whole year without pay.’
