Kikuyu gospel artiste Grace Mwai has finally opened up on how she met her fiance’ Hiram Maina alias Kamuhunjia.
Kamuhunjia is an ex-Tahidi high actress. He proposed to Grace last month something that left many shocked. Speaking on Hiram Maina’s Youtube channel Grace shared,
“In 2019 we were working together and most people thought we were dating but we were just good friends. He was my music producer. At the time he was my BFF, at the time we had no affair.
Grace says at some point they started developing feelings for each other. “Feelings just started developing out of a friendship and that made our work relationship.“
Hiram says he decided to make his feelings known to Grace in 2019.
“I asked you out to a certain hotel in Nairobi and that is when I asked you to be my girlfriend. At that time I was ready for a relationship, I felt it was the right time to get a woman to start a home with.”

Grace says when Hiram asked her to be his girlfriend he was ready hence she did not play hard to get.
“The biggest challenge was how we would transition from being friends to being lovers. It has been an amazing journey.”
Grace was in the past engaged to someone else but ended the relationship because God did not approve of it. She says the breakup hurt her and the man she was to marry at the time.
In a past YouTube interview with Hiram Maina, Grace said some of her relationships failed to work because of trust issues.
“Despite being a gospel artist I am a lady who also wants to be loved. Some of the relationships I was in did not end well. The first relationship I ever had when I came into the limelight did not work. We dated for some time but there was a trust issue.”
Grace says her then bae was a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
“He was not the person I thought he was. I discovered some things that did not sink well with me. I was very hopeful about the relationship but it ended badly.”
