The national trend on teenage pregnancies has acutely culminated in Kenya over time.Kericho county has been affected too as the lastest.With statistics pointing at fifteen percent.

Today, the county governor of Kericho county Doctor Erick Mutai held a meeting with Lake Region Economic Bloc CEO Victor Nyangaya focusing on the latest statistics covering Kericho region entirely.

According to a post on his official Facebook page, Dr Mutai says that as a regional bloc, they are keen to giving maximum support to those who are vulnerable.”As a regional bloc, we are keen in giving voice to the voiceless and offering maximum support to those who are vulnerable ” says the governor.

He also said that they are putting in place mechanisms to counter gender based violence which has risen over the years and also be able to keep the society safe from any other arising atrocities.

He also expressed joy towards plans for Kericho county to host International Gender Day on behalf of LREB on 11th October 2023.
