The amount of money that would be withheld from the paychecks of all Kenyan nationals living inside the country’s borders has finally been disclosed by the Kenyan government.

By way of Charles Hinga, principal secretary for housing, the Kenyan government announced today, May 24, 2023, that all Kenyan citizens must contribute to the Housing Fund.

The Kenyan government has stated that the amount of money that must be withheld from Kenyan residents’ monthly salary will be enforced to various degrees.

The largest amount of money that will be withheld from Kenyans’ monthly salary, according to the Kenyan government, will be Ksh 2,500. This is true for government employees who receive substantial monthly salaries.

The government has also stated that low-income workers, who make up the majority of Kenyans, will be eligible to a Ksh 1000 wage deduction each month. The Housing Fund will receive this deduction.
