Inspector General of Police Japheth Koome might land himself in trouble after what senior lawyer and Siaya Governor James Orengo has revealed they will be doing from next week.
Speaking in Siaya during the interdenominational Requiem Mass of the victims of police brutality, the Governor claimed that when they will resume the demonistrations they will set aside a day to castigate Koome following his reckless remarks. He also claimed that they have already held talks with Otiende Amollo among other lawyers to summon him in court to answer to the charges of accusing Azimio of hiring dead bodies from mortuaries.
“Tukirudi kwa maandamano there should be a Koome day where we will chant Koome must go, I will also work with Otinde Amollo and other lawyers so that we make a case, we will go to court on Wednesday or Thursday to prove to him nobody in Kenya is above the law. We summon Koome in criminal proceedings to answer to the charge of criminal liable,” Governor Orengo said.
Governor Orengo was speaking in Siaya after several leaders joined him in mourning twelve victims of police brutality.
