Taking to social media, Gideon Moi captioned, We continue to appreciate the outpouring messages of condolences and comfort as we prepare to lay our sister the late June Moi to rest.

Gideon Moi was grateful to NARC-Kenya Leader Martha Karua and her delegation for condoling with them at Kabarnet Gardens, Nairobi.

Chebet died aged 60 and her burial date is yet to be set.

In his message of comfort conveyed on behalf of his wife Pauline and the entire family, Kalonzo had on Thursday said he was deeply saddened by the passing of June whom she described as a sister.

“Please know that you are in my prayers and thoughts at this most difficult and trying time for your family,” the message relayed via Senator Gideon Moi said.

“May our Good Lord give you the necessary fortitude to bear the loss of our sister June, and may He rest her soul in everlasting peace.

Among the eight children of the former President, Chebet was the last to be born.

She continued her education at Kenya High School and Nairobi Primary before attending a Canadian institution. She ran a prosperous business.
