Former Tahidi High actor Dennis Mugo says the character he played on the show made it hard for him to date.
He played the role of the witty bad boy character who was totally smitten by Tanya – played by Sarah Hassan.
On most occasions, he was on the wrong side and never followed rules.
Speaking to Mungai Eve, OJ said the character had both a negative and positive impact.
On the positive side, OJ said the character saved one lady who was his fan from committing suicide.
OJ said that the lady contacted him via Facebook and thanked him for saving her life.

The lady said that the character of OJ collected money and used it to help his Sudanese friend.
The girl said that this part inspired her and made her change her mind and she didn’t commit suicide as she was planning.
“A girl texted me on social media saying they wanted to be suicidal. She said she watched an episode that I was playing and it changed her mind on being suicidal. It was a Christmas edition where I was doing some deals to get money to help someone go to South Sudan…”
OJ said since that time, with other actors, they decided to start visiting schools and listen to students’ stories and know what they were going through.”
On the negative impact, OJ said people judged him from the character.
“People judge you with what they see you do on the show. It is boring sometimes. Even in a relationship, it affected me, I was single for a minute because girls thought I was a playboy and I had many girls. It was tricky to even convince my current baby mama,” he said.
OG was a driver while still in the show.
“One day, I was with Miss Morgan seated in a hotel and someone passed by and was angry that she was with her student in a restaurant. The man even seated next to us and started lecturing us about that saying we were bad examples.”
OJ said for a show to be successful, it has to be believable.
