Kasmuel McOure, a Gen Z activist, is currently facing criticism from his peers on social media as a result of his recent speech at the Bomas of Kenya. McOure, who was a prominent figure during the protests against the Finance Bill 2024, is being criticized for allegedly compromising his position. Inconsistencies in his messaging were identified by social media users.

Although McOure had previously advocated for the impeachment of both President Ruto and Deputy President Gachagua on his platforms, he notably chanted “Gachagua must go” during his address at Bomas, which was consistent with political rhetoric. He was also criticized for his failure to condemn an attack on fellow activist Kebaso Morara, which he reportedly witnessed.

A user named Eli commented, “He has been strategically placed to recruit youth for the government.” McOure was accused by others, including Jane, of using Gen Z activism as a guise, and both leaders were urged to resign. Kigen, another critic, contended that McOure’s relationship with political figures indicates a lack of sincerity in his activism.
