Just some few weeks after Gen Z scaled down their protests in various parts of the country, they have come out again for the second time to announce a new wave of protests in the republic of Kenya with one big demand.
As seen from Boniface Mwangi’s tweet, the Gen Z will be back to streets as from 27th this month. On his poster, Gen Z are now calling for the dissolution of parliament and have a new team who will be representing the people of Kenya. This group says that the current parliament has failed on their constitutional mandate.
During their past protests which began on June, they demanded for the withdrawal of the Finance bill and disbandment of the cabinet of which president William Ruto did. However, they were not satisfied with Ruto’s new cabinet saying that Ruto used the disbandment to play politics by appointing top figures from ODM party.
