A contentious internet dispute between Bishop Ben Kiengei of Jesus Compassion Ministry (JCM) and Njoroge Kururia, the member of parliament for Gatundu North, has taken an unexpected turn. MP Kururia made grave accusations against the bishop in a widely shared outburst online, saying that Kiengei’s supposed immorality renders him unworthy of his ecclesiastical position.

Bishop Kiengei was charged by the MP with being an alcoholic and having several children with several women. One of the most disturbing accusations, however, came from Kururia, who claimed that Kiengei was involved in occult activities and even went so far as to say that the bishop had sacrificed two people along Kiambu Road in order to gain his wealth. Furthermore, he implied that the religious leader had prepared a number of his close friends to make comparable sacrifices in return for financial benefit.

Social media users have been reacting strongly to this public altercation, with both Kiengei’s supporters and detractors weighing in. The bishop is still at the center of this contentious discussion since he had previously forbidden Kururia from attending his church.

Many have taken notice of MP Kururia’s statements, questioning their explosive nature and calling for evidence. Many people are curious about the effects of the ongoing internet battle on the public figures involved, both personally and professionally, as it continues to heat up.
