Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has reacted on the recent rapprochement between President William Ruto and his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta, laughing off at them that their new relationship will not help Ruto to regain his popularity in Mount Kenya. Instead he (Gachagua) has the final say on which direction the mountain region will take ahead of 2027 general elections.
According to a report by Taifa Leo Newspaper headline today, Gachagua has laughed at new move by Ruto to tap Uhuru into his camp arguing that their relationship will not affect the direction, which he is going to give the mountain region. Since that will not help Ruto to regain back his lost population in the region as he might be thinking. He is the one with the final say on which direction the people of Mount Kenya region will take not Uhuru.
