Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has revealed the health status of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who was recently admitted to The Karen Hospital in Nairobi. According to Kalonzo, Gachagua fell ill on the evening of the previous day while attending the impeachment trial at the Senate.

Kalonzo, speaking during a visit to the hospital, confirmed that Gachagua’s condition is stable but added that the deputy president remains weak. “We are here at The Karen Hospital, Nairobi, to visit the Second Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, HE Rigathi Gachagua, who was taken ill yesterday evening while attending the impeachment trial at the Senate,” said Kalonzo.

He expressed gratitude for the medical care provided to Gachagua, specifically acknowledging Dr. Dan Gikonyo and his medical team for their swift intervention. “DP Gachagua is weak but stable, and we thank God and the medical staff, led by Dr. Dan Gikonyo, for their help,” Kalonzo added.

The sudden news of Gachagua’s illness has drawn attention from leaders across the political divide, with many sending messages of support and wishing him a quick recovery. Kalonzo’s visit to the hospital highlights the concern for the deputy president’s well-being as the nation keeps a close eye on his condition.

Gachagua had been attending an important impeachment trial at the Senate when he began feeling unwell, leading to his hospitalization. The exact details of his illness remain unclear, but medical professionals are working hard to ensure his recovery.
