The deputy president of this country, Hon Rigathi Gachagua reportedly held a high profile meeting at his Karen residence at a time when his boss (President William Ruto) is in United States of America for an official state visit.
As reported by one source, the country’s second in command held a meeting with some governors representing the CoG. These governors are; James Orengo of Siaya (ODM), Joseph Ole Lenku Kajiado (ODM), Mutula Kilonzo Jnr of Makueni (WIPER) and Mutahi Kahiga of Nyeri (UDA). Others are the controller of the budget hon Margaret Nyakang’o, CEO of CoG hon Mary Mwiti, Principal secretary of Devolution hon Teresiah Mbaika and Mary Wanyonyi, the chairperson of CRA.
After this meeting, Gachagua informed the nation that among the issues discussed is the during the meeting is enhancement of the intergovernmental relations between national and county governments. Gachagua was appointed by Ruto to chair the intergovernmental relations some few months ago. Here are some of the photos.
