A moment of laughter has been witnessed in Nyandarua after Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua lost his temper as he lectured former Murang’a governor Mwangi Wa Iria.
According to the video shared, Gachagua raised very hard questions to Wa Iria asking him on why during the handshake regime he never stood up to claim he was defending common mwananchi from the high cost of living when the cost of fertilizer was retailing at Shs 7000. He slammed him claiming that he has no record of defending any Kenya but he is only hiding behind Raila and Azimio so that he can raise his political profile.
“Siku ulikuwa governor na Ile serikali ya handshake fertilizer ilikuwa Shs 7000, hukuongea sisi tumeingia tumerudisha mpaka Shs 2500 mbona hukupeleka watu kwa barabara. You have no record ya kutetea wananchi, hiyo unasema ati ni kutetea wananchi hiyo ni uongo mtupu,” Dp Gachagua said leaving the mourners in laughter.
Mwangi Wa Iria has accompanied Raila Odinga among other Azimio leaders who joined Dp Gachagua to mourn the death of mau mau veteran John Kiboko.
