The funeral service of Star journalist Dickens Wasonga is ongoing.
His burial is being held at their home in Uyawi village, Central Sakwa in Bondo, Siaya county
Wasonga died in a road accident at Mamboleo flyover on the Kisumu-Kakamega road on January 26.
The burial ceremony was attended by his colleagues from Radio Africa Group and fellow journalists from other media houses.
Until his death, he was the chairman of the Kisumu Journalists Network (KJN) having been elected in November 2023.
Also present was National Assembly Minority leader Opiyo Wandayi among other dignitaries.
Before joining Radio Africa, he worked with African Press International, Nation Media, Standard and Nyanza Week Newspaper.
Wasonga has left behind his wife Florence Koki and two children, Kate Mumbe Ochieng and Victor Ochieng.
