Nominated member of parliament Hon Sabina Chege is now being pressured to make refunds of the payments that she received while serving as jubilee’s whip in the national assembly.
This is according to a petition filed before High Court Seeking the vocal MP to refund all payments before moving to support president William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government.
The coalition argues that Sabina Chege misused Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition’s constitution by declaring support to Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza camp and therefore should face action as per Coalition’s laws.
It should be noted that National assembly speaker Moses Wetangula is being accused of giving Sabina Chege a fair treatment despite being ousted as whip.
Wetangula recognised Sabina Chege as jubilee’s chief whip , a position that Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition’s leaders opposed considering the fact that jubilee is one of the parties in the coalition.
On the other side, Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition is allegedly divided over failure of Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua and jubilee party secretary general Jeremiah Kioni to support the talks team.
Speaking, Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition’s spokesperson dared the duo to leave Azimio and lead mass action demonstrations in Mt Kenya region.
