Four people have died, several injured following a fatal accident at Chimoi along Eldoret-Webuye road.
The accident involved a trailer and a school bus belonging to Ebenezer Academy.
The driver of the school bus was reportedly trying to overtake the trailer but changed his mind on realising danger was lurking. The bus driver then decided to return to his lane but hit the trailer before rolling.
Following the impact, four occupants of the bus are said to have lost their lives one the spot while a dozen others were trapped in the bus which had its right side completely ripped off.
First responders, including residents and a section of motorists launched a rescue mission to pull out survivors from the wreckage. Those who have been rescued have been rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Area police boss described scene as a black spot and urged motorists to avoid overtaking carelessly to avoid accidents on the highway.
