The Former Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet has landed a new job in President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza administration.

Boinnet who resigned as the Tourism and Wildlife Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in February last year to contest for the Elgeyo Marakwet gubernatorial seat and lost in UDA nomination, has been appointed to take up the role of the Deputy National Security Advisor.

According to the Star, Boinnet will be deputizing Former Defence Cabinet Secretary Monicah Juma and who was appointed by President William Ruto as the National Security Advisor.

Juma, according to the communication by the Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, in a gazette notice dated 6th March, has been appointed as the secretary to the National Security Council.

National Security advisor Monica Juma has been handed a new mandate and will now be appointed secretary to the National Security Council.

“It is notified for the general information of the public that the National Security Council has appointed Monica Juma to be the secretary of the National Security Council and Joseph Boinnet as the Deputy National Security Advisor,” the notice read.
