Celebrated Kenyan media personality Stella Katiwa alias Miss Katiwa, has announced to her fans that she is now pursuing a new journey of becoming a disk jockey (dj)

The sassy queen, who was previously famous for being a TV presenter, has further revealed that she now goes by the stage name of DJ Katiwa.

Miss Katiwa disclosed this news in a post that she made on her Instagram account on Tuesday, where she further opened up about some little-known details about how she always wanted to be a deejay since she was young.

Now that she has already mastered the basics of being a spinmaster, the sassy queen is not going back again. She is focusing on just being a dj.

 

“Have always wanted to be a dj ever since I was in Highskul, my parents knew that šŸ’Æ but in between alot took over. So here I am and am here to stay and am glad I still got to pursue it.

Moral of the story is, it’s never too late to become what you want to be, age is just a number but also time don’t wait for no buddy. Do what pleases you…All the best.

Miss Katiwa further accompanied the message with a video of herself mixing some Reggae songs using the decks.

 

Miss Katiwa switches careers
As mentioned above, Miss Katiwa was previously known to be a TV presenter before she shifted to become DJ Katiwa.

It can be remembered that she even used to host a Reggae show at NTV, called ‘Jamdown’. She actually hosted it for 4 years before she exited the station in January 2022.

 

Since Miss Katiwa left the Nation Media Group-owned station, she has not yet landed another job on another TV station. She has actually been jobless since then.

Miss Katiwa cries foul
The talented media personality however recently revealed that she has been jobless because the system is currently against her. She however never explained further.

Miss Katiwa revealed this in a recent post that she made on her Instagram stories, where she shared a screenshot of how she responded to one curious netizen who had asked her about when she was going to make a comeback on TV.

 

The anonymous fan actually asked the question after she shared another video of her mixing some songs on the decks, and he/she loved it.

“Kali sana utarudi lini kwa airwaves, haswa show ya reggae kwa tv” the fan asked.

 

In her response, Miss Katiwa said:

“How do I answer this šŸ¤”, itabidi muende street pia mgome joh…my dm is crazzy man and trust me I see šŸ‘€ them all, but I don’t decide, ni system šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø”.
