Malik Lemuel known to his fans as Govi is no longer the little kid we were used to when acting in Machachari, he is all grown up.He took to his social media and captione, Been long since I posted my best hommie,Wassup mum. Many people were used to Wanjiku Mburu, who played the role of his mother in the show but this was not his biological mother.

Govi mother is called Suzanne Njoki and true to what they say, the apple does not fall far from the tree, as she is an actress of a couple of shows which air on vernacular station most notably Inooro TV.

She recruited Malik into acting while he was still very young when he joined Makutano Junction which eventually paved way for Machachari.

Machachari is a popular local drama whose main actors were kids barely in their adolescent. The show, used to airs on Citizen TV, managed to win the hearts of many thanks to its simple, straight forward script that echoes the lives of many Kenyans.

The success of the show is owed to young actors and actresses who have become household names in a short span of time.

Malik ‘Lemmy’ Lemuel has been acting for the last 17 years. His first gig was in Makutano Junction.

His family, and especially his mother, has been very instrumental in helping him stay grounded and not letting fame get to his head.

However, even with its end, Malik has never truly been able to escape the shadows of Machachari’s fame. He’s still always referred to as Govi by fans, and by the media who continue to pen headlines about him. But he’s learned not to let it bother him.
