Former NTV Swahili journalist Jane Ngoiri has today marked three years since she called with quits with the station.

The seasoned media personality infact did this via a post on her Instagram stories, where she shared a post that NTV made three years ago announcing her departure, after hosting her last bulletin.

It was actually a Facebook post that showed how Jane Ngoiri was saying farewell to her viewers, while donning a green wrap dress.

She however further accompanied the post with a caption saying:

“Exactly 3 years…last bulletin on NTV…Keeling Internet never forgets”

“3 years since…”.

Jane Ngoiri who was known for her prowess in Swahili actually called it quits with NTV on January 2021.

According to reports, she secretly tendered her resignation from the Aga Khan-owned station on Thursday, the 28th of January.

 

Her reason for quitting NTV was however not revealed and it still remains a mystery upto date.

Jane Ngoiri had however taken to her Twitter account to reveal to her fans that she would be hosting her last show then.

She actually shared photos of herself preparing for the broadcast and accompanied them with a caption saying:

“All set for bulletin Finale”.

 

Before quitting NTV, Jane Ngoiri had worked at the station for over a decade in various roles like a senior news anchor, a show host and a deputy editor.

She actually made a name for herself in the media industry during her stint there, and she is among the top journalists who hold a Head of State Commendation (HSC) award.

Where is Jane Ngoiri now?
Jane Ngoiri is actually now working as a member of the HIV and AIDS Tribunal and was appointed by President William Ruto in March 2023.

 

She actually serves under the chairperson Carolyne Mboku and alongside five other members from various fields of expertise.
