Former CS Susan Nakhumicha was present at Wafula Chebukati’s burial, the former chairman of the IEBC. For Nakhumicha and his wife Mary Wanyonyi, a mother, the deceased father of three was like a father.
In a humorous moment with the mourning, the former CS described the deceased as a kind spouse. Kenyans now have a better understanding of the late Wafula Chebukati thanks to former Health CS Susan Nakhumicha.
Mary Wanyonyi, Chebukati’s widow, invited Nakhumicha to the dais and compared her to a daughter. Mary discussed the negative impacts of social media and how Nakhumicha was one of its benefits.
She expressed her gratitude to the former CS for helping her family, particularly during her husband’s illness.
The widow disclosed that her husband’s treatment in Germany was influenced by President William Ruto. “As my social media daughter, please say something,” Mary said.
Mary and Chebukati were also lavished with praise by Nakhumicha for their affection and assistance. She gave grieving a humorous moment.
The former CS claimed to have learned something from the late chairman. “I had no idea Bukusu men were romantic,” she joked. She cited the eulogy’s pictures of Chebukati and his wife.
According to Nakhumicha, it depicted love. According to Nakhumicha, she asked her husband to follow suit. She discussed his death and expressed her desire for a heartfelt remembrance.
