Media personality Willis Raburu also known as Bazuu has disclosed to the public why some people wanted him to be fired at Royal Media service during his time there.

According to Nairobi Leo outlet, the Kalele hit maker narrated how a number of people wanted him to be fired because of changing his hairstyle from short shaved to dreadlocks.

Raburu disclosed this just a month after parting ways with Royal Media.During the interview,Raburu who did a number of shows at Citizen TV as well as Hot 96 radio said that a number of people at RMS as well as outside the organization wanted him to be figured due to his hair lifestyle.

According to him,he met his boss SK Macharia along the corridors of RMS and the boss looked at him while having a simple smile and informed him how people needed him out for having dreadlocks.

However,in what looked a surprise to Raburu, his boss looked at him and said since he is working and his work was up to the standards nothing was going to happen at all.

“I like my boss ,Mr.Chairman Sk Macharia. One day I met him in the corridors of Royal Media Services and he looked at me and told me ‘aah you know people are telling me to fire you for having dreadlocks’and he said ,aren’t you working and delivering?Endelea na kazi’

According to Raburu, the words from his boss motivated him and he had courage at work knowing that no one could have shaken him anymore.

Raburu incident comes not as a surprise as many institutions are more reluctant to hire anyone who has dreadlocks. However, its a lesson for those who have them to prove their Bosses wrong by delivering at their respective duties.
