Speaking to K24 TV, Mutai disclosed that his abducted son owns only one vehicle, which he bought for him. “Those are lies, my son only has one car, and I am the one who bought it for him. Whoever is spreading these rumours should be arrested and tell us what they know,” Mutai stated.
Responding to questions about his son’s source of income, Mutai said Kibet’s primary income source was farming. “I gave him the piece of land, even while in university he used to farm and got a few coins. He used the money to start a business,” the father said. The father, still searching for his son, dismissed allegations that Kibet was involved in online fraud.
