Anne Kananu is set to be sworn in as the 3rd governor of Nairobi County today.
Several leaders and officials from Nairobi County and State House will grace the event that will take place at KICC, Nairobi.
In her maiden ride to be crowned as Nairoibi’s Governor, Anne Kananu will use a vintage Rolls Royce car.
The navy blue Rolls Royce Austin Princess will ferry Kananu from her Muthaiga home to KICC, where she will take the oath of office.
The vehicle is suited with curtains to cover the occupants and an extra seat that can be converted into a table.

The Rolls Royce is an official car of Nairobi County, with the number plate NCC 1.
It was bought in 1966 at KSh217,000 and is mainly used during special functions, like public holidays.
Nairobi’s first Governor Evans Kidero also rode on the vintage car on the day of his swearing into office.
In the current market rates, a Rolls Royce Austin Princess retails for approximately 2.2 Million shillings.
