Peponi Schools
Peponi group of schools is one of the most expensive schools in the country. It is owned by the Kenyatta Family who include Uhuru Kenyatta and his mother Mama Ngina. It is located along Thika Super Highway in Ruiru. In 2023 Peponi’s fees for playgroup is at Kshs 234,500 per term. While for those studying year 1 – 8, the school fees ranges between Kshs 300,000 to Kshs 695,500 per term.
This luxurious school offers a good environment which is a match for the school fees paid.
Extra-curricular activities include horse riding, swimming, rugby, cycling, tennis, golf, hockey and other sports. It also has a gym with trainers.
They have classy dormitories where each house has a TV, fridge and pool table. The classes also include a TV which also work as smart boards.
Not to forget their meals that are cooked by experienced chefs. The students are offered various foods to choose from.
Braeburn Schools
Braeburn Schools teaches the British National Curriculum and has branches in Nairobi, Kisumu, Nanyuki, Mombasa and Dar es Salaam.
For a child to be admitted to the school, the parent will first need to pay a registration fee of Ksh 5,000 and a deposit of Kshs 50,000.
The school fees include tuition fees, which amounts to Kshs 730,500 per year for nursery and between Ksh 1.6million to 2 million for those between Years 1 to 13. Lunch fees also range between Kshs 90,000 and Kshs 112,000 per year depending on the year your child is studying. Transport done door to door, fees amounts to Kshs 304,200 per year.
It also offers extra-curricular activities especially in sports.
Hillcrest Schools
This group of schools was founded by Dorothy Noad in 1965 and later grew to international level in 1972.
It has a good environment for sports such as Football, Roller-blading, Golf, Tae-Kwon-Do, chess and cycling.
School fees in 2023 for playgroup amounts to Kshs 99200 per term, for nursery Kshs 244,600 per term and for Year 1-13 goes up to Kshs799,575 per term.
