Kenya has quite a big number of foreign based footballers playing their trade with different European top tier league clubs.Over the weekend, a number of these footballers were in action with their respective clubs one of whom includes Collins Shichenje who is currently out on loan to Finnish giants KuPS from Swedish giants AIK.Shichenje played in the entire match as his club secured a 3-0 win over Ilves in a Finnish top tier league (Veikkausliiga) match played on Sunday 13th August, 2023.
KuPS took an early lead in the 2nd minute through Jake Jervis after which Axel Vidjeskog doubled their lead at the 45+2 minute mark before Gabriel Bispo’s winner at the stoppage time.The win left Shichenje’s KuPS at the top of the league table with 38 points from 19 matches, 1 point ahead of second placed HJK.
