ODM leader Raila Odinga who is contesting for the African Union Commission Chairmanship has today received bad news after leaders alleged that his bid might be interfered with the ongoing demonstration in the country.

Speaking today, Busia County Governor hon Paul Otuoma has revealed that the ongoing anti-government protests driven by Gen Zs will affect Raila Odinga’s bid hence there is need of a dialogue with the government and the Gen Zs for the benefit of Raila’s AUC.

“Mimi Baba nimeona sasa umeamua kuwa top diplomat in Africa, and you cannot be a top diplomat in Africa when your country is burning. You must stabilize your country…and you cannot stabilize your country when you are not talking to each other,” Otuoma stated.

Additionally, governor Otuoma added that he is calling upon President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga to engage in a dialogue so as to end this havoc in the country so that AUC campaign will be easy for Raila Odinga.

“Na ndivyo mzee alisema sisi wote ni wakenya, lazima tuweze kuzungumza na mimi namuunga my kiongozi Raila Amollo Odinga mkono asilimia mia kwa mia. We have come a long way, don’t tell us to hand Kenya to unknown entities,” Otuoma said.

“We can also go back to the streets if need be. Watu wasitutishe. Kwa hivo sisi tunaunga our leader mkono knowing that he is wise,” Otuoma stated.
