Kenyans are mourning the sudden demise of CDF Francis Ogolla who died in a chopper crash together with nine other individuals. Earlier, an eye witness who also tried to help the victims narrated the helicopter’s last seconds before it crashed and many were left with sadness.
According to him, the chopper landed successfully at its final destination. However, things took a different turn after it developed a technical hitch on its propellers as it was trying to depart. Recalling the incident, he revealed that the propeller failed to rotate and people directed the pilot to land on a nearby ground. Unluckily, it crashed while attempting to land.
“While attempting to save the lives of the occupants, the chopper bursted into flames but we struggled and managed to evacuate all the occupants and placed their bodies on the ground. Even my clothes got burnt, I have since removed them. That fire was a huge one” He narrated.
After some time, military officials arrived at the scene and they were asked to leave. The case is now under investigations. What are your thoughts? let me know on the comment section.
