Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi has been sentenced to prison for unlawful assembly and picketing outside parliament.
In February, Eric Omondi led a shirtless protest outside parliament.

The funnyman and many muscular men staged the peaceful, temporarily blocking traffic along the busy city roads.

Omondi and the well-built men chanted the Mapambano song as they pushed for the government’s immediate intervention to lower the cost of living.

In an Instagram video, the men with dog chains around their necks are seen carrying placards in their peaceful demonstrations.

Police officers were seen preventing demonstrators from gaining access to the parliament buildings.

The comedian and the shirtless men (his bouncers) were arraigned in court today.

They received one-month sentencing or an option of KSh 10,000 as bail money.
