KTN News anchor Akisa Wandera has hung her boots after working at Standard Media Group for 6 years.
The beauty, who is set to join BBC bid all her viewers goodbye after the 9 PM bulletin on Thursday.
“The time has come for me to move on to a new assignment…time really moves fast. Mixed emotions for me as I exit this stage. Tonight I bid you goodbye, dear viewer. It has been an immense pleasure and grateful honor that you have trusted me with informing you all these years,” Akisa said in her goodbye speech.
Her co-worker Mary Kilobi Atwoli took to her social media to bid Akisa goodbye in an emotional post.
Kilobi shared a picture of herself catching up with Akisa on her last day at Standard Group.
“Akisa My Love. Today being your last day at KTN, Mixed feelings are littered everywhere. Much as we are genuinely happy for your new challenge we will definitely MISS the Sunshine that you bring to us. You were the life of 2nd floor. . Always know that I am just a text away. Lots Love Mukhana,” she wrote.
