2021 seems to be getting better for rising comedian Elsa Majimbo. On Monday, the delighted 19-year-old shared a video thanking American singer Beyoncé for gifting her some Ivy Park goodies. Opening the packages and dancing around, Elsa captioned the video, ‘BEYONCÉ!!! ICY PARK!! WE ARE NOT THE SAME.’
Majimbo’s surprise gift from Beyoncé came hours after she revealed a letter she got from Pop Star Rihanna at the beginning of her career. In the letter, the Work hitmaker said, ‘You a baddie and you know it. And your reel was fire!!’ and signed it off as ‘Your childhood friend.’
“Riri sent me this letter at the beginning of my career and has given me immense support and good advice. You know how much I adore you, have an Amazing and incredible birthday. Sending you great love. Happy Birthday,” said Majimbo.
Later, the young comedian posted a screenshot of her conversation with Rihanna, saying, “I WILL NEVER CHANGE MY PROFILE PICTURE. PERIOD.”
Aside from receiving gifts and getting recognition from high-profile celebrities, Elsa seems to be making her way into the fashion industry. In September 2020, Majimbo landed a lucrative deal with Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty Cosmetics as a brand ambassador.
“My 19-year-old self literally got a chance to work with Fenty Official. I’m so proud!!!! Thanking the Fenty fam they’ve been so amazing and Rihanna for this amazing brand,” posted the hilarious Majimbo on her Instagram page.
Well, this year, Majimbo announced she collaborated with Valentino, an Italian luxury fashion house, and couldn’t wait to share what they’ve been working on.
“I am SO proud and excited to announce my entry into high fashion with an upcoming collaboration with @maisonvalentino!!!!! my team has worked so hard on this and I can’t wait to share more details!” Elsa said.
