Rift Valley Regional police boss Jasper Ombati has earlier visited Florence in hospital where she is fighting for her life and said a special team of police officers had been formed to pursue the suspect.

Florence had reported the assault incident on Friday, November 22, 2024. Speaking to the media from her hospital bed, Florence said that Elias wanted her dead.

On the fateful day, Njau reportedly invited her to a meeting at a hotel in Milimani, Nakuru to discuss their personal issues. She had told him that she wanted to quit their relationship and their joint real estate business.

At around 10 PM, she excused herself from the venue and went home, leaving her lover with friends drinking. When she arrived outside her house, she realized that Elias was behind in his car.

He reportedly attacked her and stabbed her 18 times. She was rescued by security guards and neighbours and rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
