Gospel artist Eko Dydda has addressed a cheating scandal that almost ruined his music career, almost 3 three years ago.
Speaking during an interview with Mpasho, Dydda says he was disappointed about how quickly the media ran with the story.
“I have been married for many years and I have a beautiful family.
The way the media and the public ran with the story left me wondering why they have never written about it when things were OK.
People were lashing at me yet they had no proof, they were just acting on allegations.
Kenyans love celebrating failure, we volunteer to bring down others yet we never support others.”
Dydda says he stood by DJ Mo who was also involved in a cheating scandal.
“I doubt whether people judged me because I was a Christian.
It just tells us the kind of people we are, we are hurting on the inside.
My message to the media is a story might have views but chose to focus on the good things. You will sow what you reap.

In the past Dydda’s wife, Cynthia Ayugi had in the past hinted that her husband cheated on her with her best friend.
Through her social media, Ayugi shared a cryptic post captioned.
“Breaking someone’s marriage is not Godly. I invited you as a friend, today you tell Eko Dydda not to bring me home because love your love will not grow.
It’s not a battle,@ekodydda you don’t have to hide it anymore.
Your ‘DOPE’ is free to love you, sometimes it’s healthy to walk away. Today is that day, I will not hide it for fame, or money, I will stand with the truth and will never lie to people.
The couple has since patched up things and is enjoying their happily ever after.
During an interview with Word Is Ayugi at the time said she and Dydda were not living together.
She added that her husband had been lying to the media and that she was staying with the kids.
The mother of two told the journalist that the last nine years had been a nightmare for her.
She also disclosed that a close friend of hers had been the Judas in her life after allegedly stealing her husband (Dydda).
The world should also know that not every woman should be trusted because I trusted my best friend, only to know she was finding her way in my marriage.
She then added that Eko Dydda should stop saying that he does not comment on negative things as he is the one who caused it.
