Drama reportedly broke out in the capital’s Central Business District (CBD) after popular Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi allegedly made suicide threats.
According to social media memes, the comedian was seen in the CBD with a rope tied around his neck and was threatening to hang himself.
According to sources, Omondi is threatening to commit himself because of the exorbitant cost of living the nation is currently experiencing.
The comedian was overheard threatening to jump to his death if the government does not respond to his plea.
Because the government ignored Kenyans’ cries, I’m going to jump down from this point and die there, but Kenyans will be heard by the government (I’m going to die here, I’m going to commit suicide here, and people will know I did it because the government wasn’t listening to our cries, the government has ignored Kenyans’ cries).
A source further disclosed that the comedian took issue with the decision made by President Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga, which resulted in the cancellation of demonstrations by the Azimio leader.
Omondi apparently desired to participate in their conversations as well as Raila and Ruto’s conversations.
