Police in Ruiru are investigating an incident where a rogue Cop allegedly Demanded bribe to release Boda-Boda of man who had been arrested by the said police officer.
In a news report that has been shared by a reliable source of information, it has been reported that the suspect who has been identified George Waweru Kagia was arrested by EACC officers after being reported by the victim.
According to the reports given by detectives from the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission, it has been reported that the suspect stopped the Boda-Boda Operator, confiscated his bike after he failed to produce his documents.
Several sources have confirmed that the victim rushed home and immediately went to the police station to retrieve his bike with documents.
The officer in question is reported to have refused to release the man’s bike and instead, Demanded Ksh 1Ok.
Detectives from the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission who were informed about the incident went ahead and arrested the suspect who’s set to be charged with this crime.
