Drake is hoping to woo Kim Kardashian after she finalises her divorce from estranged husband Kanye West, according to reports. Sources say the Canadian rapper, 34, started messaging the mother-of-four after hearing about her plans to end her seven-year marriage to Kanye.
Kim, 40, filed for divorce from the 43-year-old mogul in February, citing “irreconcilable differences” on the papers.
Now, an insider has disclosed to Heat magazine that Drake has taken Kim’s split as an opportunity to get close to her.
“Drake could never understand what Kim saw in Kanye – he was saying for years how he wasn’t the right guy for Kim and it would all end in tears,” they alleged to the publication.

“He was surprised it took her so long to realise, and started messaging her the moment it became clear that the divorce was inevitable. He’s ready to see her whenever she says the word, basically, and he’s confident that will happen fairly soon.”
However, it appears Kim is not on the same page – if the reports are anything to go by.

“Kim’s wary about getting involved with someone else too fast before the divorce is settled,” the source added.
It comes just weeks after Drake fuelled rumours he had an affair with the reality star in lyrics from his latest single Wants and Needs.

He appeared to throw shade at fellow musician Kanye in his new track, rapping the lyrics: “Yeah, I probably should go link with Yeezy, I need me some Jesus / But soon as I started confessin’ my sins, he wouldn’t believe us.”
Both rappers have butted heads in the past, with their feud going all the way back to 2018.
And it appears Drake took it one step further this time with his most recent cryptic lyrics.
He doesn’t appear to mention Kim’s name in the song, but that didn’t stop fans speculating about the rumoured ‘affair’ on Twitter.
One wrote: “I think drake was alluding to his affair with Kim.”

In the past, he made reference to a brief romance on his 2018 song In My Feelings. “Kiki, do you love me?” he repeatedly asks, with fans at the time questioning if it was about her as the superstar’s sisters call her Kiki by nickname. However, Kanye set the record straight at the time, firing back at the rapper in an Instagram video. He said: “The fact that there’s people making rumors or thinking you fked my wife and you’re not saying nothing and you’re carrying it like that, that don’t sit well with my spirit.”
