Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki has flown out of the country to attend the national funeral of the late former Namibia President Dr Sam Nujoma in the capital city, Windhoek.

The DP departed the country in the afternoon after holding a series of meetings in Tharaka Nithi County.

His departure comes as President William Ruto continues to hold a series of meetings in Coast where he has also been launching various development projects in the region.

On Friday, as the Head of State toured Taita Taveta County, the DP was conspicuously missing in action. There is no doubt that his absence sparked some speculations on his likely whereabouts.

Over the last few days, Prof. Kindiki had joined Dr Ruto in his development tour of the Coast region where they have been jointly launching projects.
