Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s security has allegedly been withdrawn, prompting Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba to demand that President William Ruto appear on national TV to clarify the situation.
Speaking at to Citizen TV this morning, Wamuchomba revealed that Gachagua had been denied key privileges, including a security escort, during a church event in Thika Town yesterday.
“For example, yesterday we went with the DP to church. He is supposed to be given an escort and all his privileges. Can someone tell us if the Deputy President got his privileges as DP of Kenya?” she questioned.
Wamuchomba, who accompanied Gachagua throughout the day, confirmed, “I was with him the whole day, and he did not receive all his privileges.”
She further questioned who was behind the withdrawal of the DP’s security. “Who is this person whose job is to remove these privileges from the DP’s office? Who is this person whose business is to remove the DP from the diary of the executive President?”
