Celebrated Kenyan disk jockey George Njuguna alias DJ Cremé De La Cremé has taken a significant step towards changing his life.

The acclaimed entertainer on Wednesday the 24th of January made a public announcement via his Instagram account, declaring his decision to go on a sobriety journey.

DJ Cremé is infact planning to be sober for the next two months, and to show how serious he was he even used a phrase that is normally used during oath takings.

“My 60 days Of Sobriety Starts NOW 🙏 SO HELP ME GOD 🙏”.

Here is the post that he made.

As seen above, DJ Cremé De La Cremé however never disclosed more information for example like what type of drug he was quitting.

If he has plans to stay completely sober however, one of the drugs that he will have to quit is weed that he has been smoking for over 25 years now.

The father of two actually admitted that he was using the drug in April 2021, when he had an interview with Standard Entertainment.

At the time, the world was commemorating the ‘4/20’ (April 20th), an unofficial holiday that many Marijuana users all over the world usually mark by smoking it.

In the interview, DJ Cremé De La Cremé said that he had been using the drug for the most part of his life, despite having been a bright student in school.

“I have been using weed for the last 24 years and see, my life turned out pretty well…furthermore I was an A student” he said.

It should be noted however that Marijuana use is currently banned in Kenya and therefore one should avoid smoking it to avoid breaking the law.
